Make arrangements to arrive at Anchorage International Airport - Delta, American, US Air, Continental, Alaska Air,  all offer flights. International air carriers include Air Canda, Condor, Icelandair, China Airlines, Japan Airlines and Korean Airlines.   From there Iliamna Air Taxi is a good choice for the final leg of your journey. Prior to arrival to Iliamna, you may wish to stay in Anchorage.  There are many establishments available, but we recommend the Millennium Lakefront Anchorage Hotel.  There are two on-site restaurants,  a full service bar, free wi-fi, and complimentary shuttle service to and from Anchorage airport for your convenience.

Climate in Iliamna

Iliamna is 225 miles southwest of  Anchorage, and summers can be quite mild, with temperatures ranging from 50 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit.  That said, it is a maritime coastal environment, and there are storms from time to time, with wide temperature variations within the same day.  With that in mind, we have compiled a recommended gear list.
